FOREWORD

The National Accountability Dialogue Forum is a quarterly series of public forums, coordinated by the National Accountability Group, aimed at bringing together government and civil society in a healthy and progressive dialogue about the state of accountability and corruption in Sierra Leone. In recognition of the prevalence, persistence and adverse effects of the endemic corruption in the country, the forum is held in the spirit of developing proactive solutions to these issues and promoting a culture of accountability in government, the private sector, and throughout society.

Prominent government, civil society, and international figures are therefore brought in to address the community at large to unearth the pressing problems hindering effective accountability and transparency measures in our institutions. The forums also allow members of the community the chance to air their concerns about these issues and to interact in a progressive environment with individuals in a position to incorporate their ideas into effective action against corruption.
